Curiosity killed the cat. For us, however, in most cases it’s amazing how very well the simple attitude of curiosity works to travel through perceptive filters of others. How’s that? Why does it work so smoothly? When training managers and leaders, challenging sales staff to do the same with customers, to evolve in negotiating skills – even understanding kids – just WHY does it work so well?
I guess we’re transfering simple elements of safety to the counterpart. Signals that ensures the other person I’m open to that person’s perspective. Ready to listen. Leaving the stage to you.
In what situations can YOU increase your level of curiosity? What might that give you?
